What you will get to do:
- Lead manufacturing operations, production scheduling, shipping/receiving, and inventory control.
- Participate as a member of the leadership team in planning and executing company growth, financial, quality, and operational goals.
- Apply manufacturing engineering and process engineering experience to improve production flow, quality, repeatability, throughput, and cost performance.
- Identify and resolve process constraints, recurring production issues, quality escapes, rework drivers, and material-flow problems.
- Drive operational excellence through Lean, Six Sigma, problem-solving, standard work, and best-practice sharing.
- Develop, maintain, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that support safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, and productivity goals.
- Use accurate operational and quality data to identify improvement opportunities and support sound business decisions.
- Lead cost-reduction and productivity-improvement initiatives, with a target of reducing controllable operational costs by 3–5% annually where practical.
- Coach, train, and develop team members to strengthen skills, accountability, and professional growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with quality, engineering, purchasing, sales, customer service, and finance to improve flow and execution.
- Promote a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture consistent with the company’s values.
What will make you successful:
- Prior experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or similar technical manufacturing role is strongly preferred and highly important for this position.
- 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or a comparable manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to understand manufacturing processes at a technical level and translate that knowledge into operational execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, business, or a related field preferred; engineering degree highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success improving processes, reducing cost, improving quality, improving production flow, or increasing throughput.
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, FMEA, visual management, root-cause analysis, and mistake-proofing methods.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, project management, financial impact, and performance metrics.
- Ability to lead across functions through both direct authority and influence.
- Strong communication, coaching, organization, and problem-solving skills. \Hands-on experience developing or improving production processes, work instructions, fixtures/tooling, process controls, test processes, or quality systems.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred; Green Belt or Black Belt helpful. Master Black Belt is a plus, but not .
- Experience in low- to mid-volume/high-mix electronics manufacturing.
- ERP/MRP, production scheduling, inventory control, and materials flow experience.
