The Business Analyst — Business Operations Management is responsible for analyzing business operations, monitoring performance, identifying process improvement opportunities, and providing data-driven insights to support operational decision-making. This position works closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, reduce costs, optimize workflows, and ensure operational objectives are achieved.
Analyze business operations, workflows, procedures, and performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
Gather and analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities.
Develop and monitor operational KPIs, performance metrics, and management reports.
Prepare regular business operations reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.
Analyze staffing, workload, productivity, costs, service levels, and operational performance.
Identify process bottlenecks, redundancies, and inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Conduct current-state and future-state process analysis.
Develop process maps, workflows, standard operating procedures, and business documentation.
Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into actionable business solutions.
Support operational planning, forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation activities.
Analyze operational costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved resource utilization.
Monitor business performance against established goals, targets, and service-level agreements.
Conduct root-cause analysis to investigate operational issues and performance gaps.
Develop recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Collaborate with Finance, IT, HR, Sales, Operations, and other departments on business initiatives.
Support implementation of new processes, systems, policies, and operational improvements.
Track action items, initiatives, and improvement projects through completion.
Assist with change management and communicate process changes to affected stakeholders.
Support automation and technology initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency.
Conduct user acceptance testing and validate business processes and system functionality when required.
Maintain accurate business process documentation and operational records.
Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reports to support management decision-making.
Monitor the results of implemented improvements and measure business impact.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational standardization.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in business analysis, operations analysis, business operations, or a related field.
Strong experience analyzing business processes, operational data, and performance metrics.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with data and reporting tools.
Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience gathering business requirements and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or related certification.
Experience with ERP, CRM, workforce management, or other business systems.
Experience with SQL and relational databases.
Experience with process automation and digital transformation.
Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
Experience developing operational KPIs and performance dashboards.
Experience supporting strategic planning and business transformation initiatives.
