The company started operations with suspension solutions for various large OEMs. Duroshox has evolved to be a leader in the area of vibration isolation, motion control, comfort, damping and suspension. It is a privately owned business with annual revenues of close to USD 175m (estd 2024).

Duroshox is headquartered in India and has customers spread across the US, Europe, and Asia. Over 70% of the business comes from US-based customers. Some of the companies that use Duroshox products are: Toyota, Freightliner, Daimler, Paccar, Navistar, Scania, Ford, Tata, Volvo, Tafe, Mahindra Tractors, John Deere, Hyundai, JCB, Force Motors, Siemens, ABB, and many others.

Value Chain & Manufacturing facilities:
The company works with customers from concept generation/ideation to volume production of products and solutions. This journey includes design, rapid prototyping, testing, tooling, quality management, and production of specially engineered solutions for their global clients.

Currently, the company has four plants in India with over 1500 employees. The company plans to set up a fifth plant in Texas, with a target to start operations by Jun’24.

Duroshox has been accredited with IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018.

Products/Applications
Shock Absorbers / Damping Solution, Suspension Solutions & Assemblies, Frames with tubular structures for high-end applications, Slide Rails & Mechanisms. The application of these products is for the automotive, agricultural, and industrial sectors.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Operations Manager - Assembly Plant
Location: USA - Texas – San Antonio OR Houston
Reporting into: Initial Plant Coordination team from India

Details of the new plant in USA
Target to start production by Jun’24
Phase 1 => 15,000-20,000 sq.ft. area / 12-15 employees including workers, supervisors & staff
Leased premises

Key expectations:
As the person in charge of the facility, you will be responsible for ensuring its smooth operation. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to manage multiple functions including:
hiring, training, and evaluating production staff
overseeing operations such as production & production planning, maintenance, quality assurance, purchase & stores, logistics, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Liaise with local authorities for statutory compliance, and manage relationships with local partners.

Key Skills & Competencies:
Plant Management and Manufacturing Operations Management
Strong knowledge of quality management, store management and logistics processes
Strong leadership & conflict-resolution skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proactive attitude towards problem-solving
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Fluent in Spanish language preferred.

Experience:
Experience of 10-15 years in Manufacturing Setup, with 3 years in an Operations Leadership position.
