Description:

Manage, direct, and implement operations strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of Mission Central’s goals of mission outreach, disaster response, and mission education. Focus for short-term goals are maintain warehouse inventory, create warehouse organizational plan, maintain mission outreach data for Mission Central and ministry partners, manage materials requests and allocations, supervise volunteer coordination, and ensure all aspects of volunteer coordination are completed effectively. Focus for long-range goals are to have strategies to manage missional outreach while simultaneously being prepared to respond quickly and efficiently to natural disasters and urgent emergencies both locally and globally.

Provide organized operational systems, processes and policies in support of Mission Central’s three pronged approach of mission outreach, disaster response, and mission education --- specifically, support detailed management reporting and organizational planning

●Manage shipment/delivery schedule for Mission Central in conjunction with other ministry partners

●Manage disaster response delivery/shipments and supervise volunteer coordination

●Manage inventory control system

●Provide production management strategy to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of kit production based on demand

●Work collaboratively with Executive Director and Director of Development and Communications to achieve overall organizational goals

●Support volunteer coordination by providing daily/weekly/monthly/seasonally tasks list that the Volunteer Coordinator can match to the pool of volunteers

●Manage procurement process for corporate in–kind donations

●Maintain specifications for kit creation and implement instruction to those producing the kits

●Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions

●Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols

●Requires scheduling flexibility. Sometimes early, late, or Saturday hours required

●Create and implement warehouse organizational plan

●Assist with HUB Coordination Duties

●Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

●Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done

●Basic working knowledge of Microsoft
