We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager to lead our Metrology team in Artesia or Carlsbad, NM. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the engine behind our day-to-day operations, building strong teams, solving real-world challenges, and delivering the high-quality service our clients count on. What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary contact for SPL’s established customers in assigned region;
  • Address customer issues, initiate corrective action reports, and follow through on resolution;
  • Interview, hire, train, and manage measurement technicians;
  • Manage technician vehicles, equipment, and local inventory;
  • Ensure facilities, service centers, equipment, and vehicles meet SPL’s cleanliness and brand standards;
  • Conduct routine customer visits to assess satisfaction and align on expectations;
  • Maintain and communicate work schedules; notify customers and internal teams of any changes;
  • Maintain company-issued property (tools, vehicle, laptop, PPE, etc.);
  • Submit accurate and timely paperwork for services performed;
  • Uphold a strong culture of safety and operational accuracy;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
  • Minimum of 3 years of liquid gas and/or liquid measurement experience;
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory and/or management experience;
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record;
  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical aptitude;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities;
  • Ability to perform basic math and data interpretation;
  • Capable of working independently and managing several priorities simultaneously;
  • Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures, including extreme heat or cold.

Your Schedule and The Fine Print

  • Full-time position following a standard Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts;
  • Flexibility to work 8–16 hour shifts to support business needs, including weekends and holidays as part of an “on-call” rotation;
