Job Description - Operations Manager - Nitrogen

Eaton\u2019s AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Operations Manager - Nitrogen. This role is based in Davenport, IA. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Operations Manager will achieve team operational performance metrics targets including Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Inventory; drive continuous improvement through root cause problem solving methods; build People to Get Results \u2013 develop bench strength within the Integrated Product Team (IPT); assist the development and execution of the Sales Inventory and Operations Plans (SIOP) focusing on capacity and material planning, with a proactive approach to mitigate risk to the forecast and budget plans. \n \nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 Lead, develop, and execute plans for Operations in SIOP process. \n\u2022 Serve as Continuous Improvement Champion, leading cross functional groups towards the future state to include: productivity improvements, waste elimination, variation reduction, team strategy deployment, teaming, and recognition. \n\u2022 Lead daily plan execution, including prioritization for Manufacturing Engineers, Production Supervisors, Material Planners, and Quality Engineers supporting the Integrated Product Team (IPT); as well as supporting site wide initiatives in Supply Chain and Quality. \n\u2022 Ensure all operational processes are carried out in accordance with safety, quality and environmental systems and procedures. \n\u2022 Plays an active role in developing the weekly/monthly production schedules to support SIOP plan. \n\u2022 Responsible for ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities. \n\u2022 Achieve agreed upon Integrated Product Team (IPT goals for KPI\u2019s (Key Process Indicators) which include safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory and responsiveness. \n\u2022 Utilize lean and Six Sigma concepts within the Value Stream for Root cause problem solving and improvement opportunities. \n\u2022 Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly reviews of key metrics and actions to improve. \n\u2022 Coaching and Mentoring of Direct Reports; Performance Review updates \n\u2022 Ability to lead a team toward a common vision and goal \n\u2022 Develop talent within the team. \n\u2022 Support customer requirements as needed. Customer focused mentality.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree and 3 years of operations or engineering management experience in a manufacturing environment OR Associates degree and 5 years of operations or engineering management experience in a manufacturing environment \n\u2022 Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future \n\u2022 No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 70 miles of the Davenport, IA facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. \n\u2022 This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. \u2018Green Card Holder\u2019), Political Asylee, or Refugee \n \nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Five years of experience in an operations management or manufacturing leadership role \n\u2022 Experience with business finance and linking financial outcomes with operational actions and strategy \n\u2022 Experience managing cost budgets and creating operational plans \n\u2022 Thorough working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma enterprise \n\u2022 Ability to lead and facilitate progressive change and deal effectively with all levels of management \n\u2022 Ability to think strategically and develop operational plans \n\u2022 Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
