Production Oversight:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the production team to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
- Coordinate with project managers, sales, and procurement teams to ensure materials, labor, and resources are allocated effectively.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and financial goals.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the production team, including technicians, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations to ensure that team members are meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and improve productivity.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that all work meets Legacy Restoration’s quality standards and complies with industry regulations and building codes.
- Conduct regular inspections of ongoing projects to ensure quality and address any issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control Manager to implement corrective actions when necessary and improve overall project quality.
Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for improving production processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Implement lean production principles and other process improvement techniques to streamline workflows and increase productivity.
- Continuously monitor production performance and suggest improvements in materials, methods, and technology.
Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that all production activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and ensure that all team members are trained in and adhere to safety protocols.
- Promote a culture of safety across the production team, identifying and addressing any safety risks promptly.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and operations, to ensure smooth communication and coordination across teams.
- Provide regular updates on project status, production performance, and challenges to senior management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring that their expectations are met throughout the production process.
Reporting Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on production performance, project progress, and resource utilization.
- Maintain accurate records of all production activities, including materials used, labor hours, and project costs.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on production data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in production or operations management
- Roofing knowledge and experience
- Proven track record of managing teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of production processes, scheduling, and resource management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in production or operations management within the construction or restoration industry.
Work Environment:
- This role involves a combination of office-based work and on-site management of production activities.
- The Production Manager may need to visit various project sites and occasionally work outside of normal business hours to meet project deadlines.
