Operations Managers

GovFirst is seeking to hire multiple Operations Managers to oversee supplemental operations staff and activities within the Transportation Operations Division in Virginia locations including Bristol, Culpeper, Fredericksburg, Hampton Roads, Lynchburg, Northern Virginia, Richmond, Salem, and Staunton. These managers will ensure day-to-day operational oversight, staff proficiency, and accurate performance metrics reporting.

• Oversee the daily activities of Operations Group supplemental staff and ensure compliance with established performance standards.
  

• Provide operational enhancement recommendations to the Project Manager and VDOT management.
  

• Assist in the development of long- and short-range strategic operational plans and budget analysis.
  

• Participate in operational analysis, including evaluating effectiveness, staffing needs, reporting criteria, trends, and response measures.
  

• Coordinate with Safety and Training Managers to develop programs that enhance personnel job skills.
  

• Ensure staffing levels meet established metrics and maintain accountability across multiple districts if applicable.
  

Requirements

• Degree in Business/Transportation Management, Operations Analysis, Emergency Management, or related transportation/operations field.
  

• Progressive experience managing one or more large-scale operations contracts.
  

• Proven success in keeping programs on schedule, within budget, and meeting performance goals.
  

• Demonstrated ability to manage teams across multiple geographic locations.
  

• Strong communication and leadership skills for coordination with staff, Project Managers, and VDOT personnel.
