Primary Job Function
Participates as a Team Member of their assigned production area. Responsible for maintaining line support to the operations and support other business units to meet and/or exceed the production goals including safety, quality, efficiency, productivity and customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Active member of the Production Team and supports the team culture of the Dyersburg
- Responsible for performing a general inspection to identify any problems upon receipt of a product
- Responsible for unloading all pallets and transporting to the staging area and for checking packing list/bill of
- lading for any discrepancies and for completing appropriate paperwork.
- Responsible for determining specific locations, printing license plates, labelling pallets and transporting the pallets to the appropriate warehouse location.
- Responsible for supplying packaging supplies and other materials to the production lines.
- Responsible for transporting pallets to appropriate locations and must also make any necessary transactions in ERP.
- Must determine and inform the machine operator of material locations and must also make any necessary transactions.
- Responsible for loading machines with supplies and materials as needed
- Responsible for removing waste as needed.
- Complete assigned paperwork daily.
- Participate in departmental and plant meetings by communicating timely and pertinent data when
- appropriate, and active involvement in analyzing, recommending, and implementing solutions to
- problems within the department and the plant.
- Ensure that there is a smooth transition from shift to shift.
- Performs and completes required forklift pre-operation inspection, reporting any major problems to
- Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area respecting company policy including but not limited to GMP’s, Food Safety, SQF, OSHA, ISO-14001.
- Maintains OSHA Certified Forklift License.
- Performs basic Receiving functions in ERP.
- Supports and participates in safety activities to achieve departmental and plant wide goals and objectives.
- Adheres to all company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety rules.
- Maintain cleanliness in work area and outside areas
- Responsible to report food safety and quality concerns to Supervision, Quality or Senior Management. Support the SQF system through adherence to plant policies and procedures.

Qualification Requirements
- Computer skills (Microsoft office, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and ERP system)
- Ability to interpret items, lot codes, best by dates and alternate units of measure physically and systematically in ERP.
- Maintain OSHA certified forklift license.
- Handle drums of liquids with material handling equipment.
- Ability to work in a high-speed automated environment
- Experience/familiarity with stacking and loading patterns.
Education and Experience
A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Two years manufacturing, mechanical or technical experience is required
- Previous experience with forklifts and material handling equipment preferred; specifically, electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Experience maintaining a FEFO (first expired, first out) rotation of inventory preferred.
- ERP experience preferred.
