Operations RBT - Qualified Trainer

Job Summary:

Our Operations Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT)– Qualified Trainer work closely with our patients to provide an unparalleled level of service through compassionate and knowledgeable care, in combination with the intensive nature of our individualized program. Our Operational Track RBTs give extra support for our daily operations around each of our clinics.

EBH was created with the mission of empowering families by providing the most effective Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to ensure that learners with autism and other developmental disabilities reach their maximum potential.

Requirements

• Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work 1:1 with the patient in a clinic-based day program that provides full-time ABA Therapy for individuals who have been diagnosed with autism or other developmental disabilities
• Collect and record accurate daily progress-monitoring data via Catalyst and Central Reach
• Implement the current goals, curriculum, activities, behavior reduction, and skill acquisition for each individualized patient
• Respond appropriately to feedback and maintain/improve performance accordingly
• Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients
• Responsible for implementing new hire training for behavior technicians including: Clinical training as outlined in the BT Training Manual including instructing, modeling, providing feedback, and completing skill checks; training on policies and procedures
• Regularly reports to Operations Support Supervisor regarding new hire progress with training
• Regularly checks with previous trainees as a continued mentorship (e.g., training progress, morale, Q&A, etc.).
• Assist with BST during RBT competency assessments
• Act as EBH mentor and be the main point of contact for employee questions. Responsible for directing employees to the appropriate channels.

Education and Experience:

Required:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
• Completed high school or equivalent
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification
• Experience working with children between the ages of 2 years to 12 years old
• Experience working with severe/challenging behaviors
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Must be within good standing - No corrective action or performance improvement plan within 30 days. 

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to move or transport up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to run or walk throughout 6–8-hour sessions (i.e., patient eloping)
• Must be able to respond quickly to manage behaviors (i.e., block aggression, move furniture)
• Must be able to be seated on the floor when needed for patient
• Must be able to transition from seated on the floor to standing quickly to respond to aggression/severe behavior
• Must be able to bend or twist to utilize physical management
• Must be able to maintain physical holds for aggressive patients for extended periods of time when needed
