Job Description - Operations Research Analyst (Weapon Systems)

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is currently seeking candidate for an Operations Research Analyst, GS-1515-12 in Las Vegas, NV.

Salary: $ 88,756 – $115,379Qualifications/Requirements:

The primary purpose of this position is: To perform research, development, adaptation of engineering data, creating, and presenting courseware in the area of Electronic Warfare and Advanced Threats.

-U.S. Citizenship

-Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.

-Be able to obtain and maintain a Top-secret SCI clearance.

-This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

-Expert knowledge of the Electronic Warfare (EW) development area. Knowledge will include, but not limited to, EW principle (radar theory, IR theory, basic electronic theory, microwaves), EW equipment (radar warning receivers, electronic countermeasures pods, countermeasures dispensing systems, radar systems, and radio systems), EW tactics, and EW sources.

-Knowledge of Advanced Threats to include but not limited to, aircraft, airborne missiles, ground-based missiles, integrated air defense systems, and anti-aircraft artillery systems.

-Knowledge of weapons systems and a wide range of methods and techniques used in operations research and analytical abilities.

-Knowledge of instructional designs and material development. Previous qualification as an instructor Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) and completion of the Fighter Electronic Combat Officer Course (FECOC) are highly desirable.

-The employee must have airborne test evaluation and foreign military exploitation experience.
