To work in a front-line position servicing customers in grain, feed and agronomy along with assisting the Location Manager with a variety of day-to-day operations in and out of the office in a safe and timely manner that will optimize the cooperative’s market share and savings, improve the cooperative’s efficiency, help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service.
Requirements
Office Support
Communicate effectively with all employees and Customers
Fill in For location manager in times of absence
Assist in administrative duties; answer phone calls, providing counter sales and customer service
Perform truck scale, grain probing, and grading procedures
Develop good employee and customer relationships
Assist with grain contracts, settlements, reporting and enter contracts for producers
Operations Specialist
Recommend repairs and improvements to the location manager
Operates all machinery and equipment as required
Assists in weighing, grading, loading and blending all grain
Assist in leading daily housekeeping to maintain a safe environment for employees and customers
Assist with seasonal fertilizer – loading and unloading trucks, tender driving, and handling of products/chemicals
Assist with feed mill and seed shed duties; loading, unloading, and sorting inventory
Help to complete monthly inventory of all location products
Reporting
Inform supervisor of outstanding conditions
Inform your supervisor of potential problems or potential new business opportunities directly or indirectly related to your department
report any unsafe equipment or working conditions to your supervisor
Report any needed repairs or special maintenance to your supervisor immediately
Safety and Compliance
Uphold cooperative policies
Follow and comply with all laws and regulations both State and Federal
Uphold all cooperative policies
Attend all safety meetings, etc. held as required or scheduled in conjunction with Safety Director or location
Other Duties
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Favorable feedback is received from all department managers when assigned to perform or assist with other duties and responsibilities in those departments
Attitude consistently mirrors the company image and promotes fellow employee teamwork
Present a professional image through words, actions and personal appearance
Collaboratively work with all departments within location and CFE as needed
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient with Microsoft office and Excel software
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and demonstrate good attention to detail
Detail oriented to provide accurate and consistent work with or without direction
Knowledge of administrative/inventory procedures and systems
Chemical Handlers license and Class A CDL (or be able to obtain within 60 days)
Ability to work long seasonal hours
Excellent customer service skills
