Role Synopsis
Air bp manages an aviation fuel storage system and loading rack at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) and is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable and compliant fuel farm operations. The Air bp CLE fuel system is a highly regulated, vital part of the airport infrastructure and requires a dedicated, mechanically-proficient, and responsible team to safeguard and maintain highly reliable operations. The CLE Operations Specialist, accountable to the CLE Site Supervisor, is responsible for conducting operational integrity activities safely and thoroughly to ensure the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of Air bp's CLE fuel system.
Key Accountabilities
Specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, ensuring:
" Air bp's operating and HSSE standards are followed and achieved with minimal direction and supervision.
" Fuel system duties are performed thoroughly and reliably, including accurately preparing and maintaining fuel quality and inventory reports, maintenance and repair documentation, work orders, equipment inspection forms and database activities, and regulatory and ATA 103 documentation.
" The mechanical integrity of the site equipment is maintained to high standards, including ensuring Inspection, Testing, and Preventative Maintenance assignments are carefully completed according to procedure, and equipment repairs are performed accurately and safely.
" Operational/HSSE assurance and verification activities assigned by the CLE site supervisor, in coordination with the PU HSSE Lead, including verbal and written reports, are completed thoroughly and on-schedule.
" Collaboration with site colleagues and PU HSSE Lead to execute objectives, project tasks, and process safety improvements are planned and well-communicated, including proposing and implementing activities for the continuous improvement of operational integrity programs.
" Operational assurance, problem-solving, and training assistance to other Air bp operations is provided in a professional, skillful manner, applying knowledge and best-practices of bp and industry-standards.
" Communications with airport authorities, airline representatives, and third-party operators/visitors are professional and respectful.
Essential Experience and Job Requirements
" Applicant must be able to pass a 10-year federal background check and meet all FAA/TSA requirements.
" Proven experience in hydrocarbon storage operations, and/or experience supervising into-plane fueling operations.
" Ability to safely drive and operate automotive vehicles and other site-applicable equipment.
" Must possess good computer skills and understanding of database entry.
" Ability to follow maintenance protocols and develop equipment trouble-shooting skills.
" Employee at all times must possess and maintain a valid Driver License and required FAA/TSA airport ID.
" Must be self-managing to work without supervision.
Key Skills
" Good basic mechanical repair experience.
" Fuel storage operations and pipeline related experience.
" Aviation fueling operations and equipment experience.
" Prior military experience in the aviation sector is also preferred.
" Mechanical trade or equipment maintenance experience.
