Operations Superintendents

GovFirst is seeking to hire multiple Operations Superintendents to support day-to-day operations within the Transportation Operations Division in Virginia locations including Bristol, Culpeper, Fredericksburg, Hampton Roads, Lynchburg, Northern Virginia, Richmond, Salem, and Staunton. These superintendents will oversee contractor crews and staff, ensuring safe and efficient operations while supporting training and development initiatives.

• Oversee the daily activities performed by the CRO, contractor crew members, and operational staff to ensure efficiency and safety.
  

• Maintain and develop safety programs and operational training in coordination with the Training Manager and ERT Training Coordinator/Manager.
  

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, procedures, and contract requirements during all maintenance and operational tasks.
  

• Provide guidance and support to contractor staff to meet performance goals and operational standards.
  

• Monitor field operations, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain smooth workflows.
  

• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align operations with organizational objectives.
  

• Support program enhancements and training initiatives to build a skilled and knowledgeable workforce.
  

Requirements

• Experience overseeing field operations, contractor crews, and staff in maintenance or infrastructure projects.
  

• Strong knowledge of safety programs, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
  

• Ability to coordinate training programs and work effectively with training managers and coordinators.
  

• Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide teams and resolve operational challenges.
  

• Ability to monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
