Job Description - Operations supervisor, live entertainment performance and shows
Overview: The Operations Supervisor of Performance is responsible for coordinating all onstage performance applications and personnel within the Entertainment Department.
They oversee the operations of all theaters and productions and supervise Area Supervisors.
They also assist the full time manager in the development of in house productions.
Responsibilities: Assists in coordinating and structuring annual auditions to staff shows and areas with the appropriate talent.
Coordinates the hiring of the performers for individual shows, events, and locations.
Facilitates hiring processes in Icims & Dayforce to ensure all performers are able to work as scheduled.
Oversees the maintenance and performance quality throughout the season.
Coordinates and implements department handbooks for supervisors and line associates.
Facilitates and oversees training and divisional orientation for associates.
Facilitates weekly meeting with area supervisors.
Serves as Department Manager of the Day as needed, during operating days.
Reads, reviews, and communicates information submitted by area managers to appropriate personnel.
Solves interpersonal problems and evaluates individual situations, while representing the park and department's disciplinary policies and procedures.
Evaluates area supervisors and all line associate within the show.
Provides assistance and support to associates and supervision within area.
Uses problem solving skills to troubleshoot potential problems and finds solutions for issues in all show and entertainment areas in order for the department to run more efficiently.
Coordinates rehearsals for all shows and entertainment areas.
Qualifications: Ability to demonstrate a strong background or general knowledge of all theatrical elements including technical and performance.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
High School Diploma/GED.
1-3 year of supervisory/leadership experience.
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
