Operations Support Associate

Description

The Operations Support Associate is responsible for assisting with various tasks, projects, and duties across different operational areas as needed to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.

Essential Duties:

• Assist in shipping by picking orders.
• Support warehouse operations, including unloading trucks and assisting with floor loads.
• Perform processing duties such as:
  • Removing cardboard and carton carts
  • Disposing of trash
  • Packing cartons into cases
  • Stocking cartons and cases in the processing room
  • Transporting nest runs from the mezzanine
• Assist the receiving department with unloading nest runs.
• Provide support on the track as needed.
• Operate yard jockey trailers.
• Make small local deliveries and pickups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

• Typical hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Fridays as needed)
• Some flexibility may be required based on business needs.
• Two 10-minute paid breaks and a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Requirements

• Complete support of and willing adherence to Westfield Egg Farm’s mission, vision, and core values. Applicant must hold these standards as his/her own.
• No prior experience or training required.
• Ability to self-direct and recognize tasks that need to be completed.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Basic English reading ability.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Basic math, including adding and subtracting two-digit numbers.
• Ability to perform operations involving weight, measurements, volume, and distance.

Training Provided In-House (as needed):

• Basic food safety
• Egg packing procedures
• Electric jack operation
• Forklift operation
• Yard truck driving for trailer movement
