Role Overview:
The Operations Support Specialist plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations by supporting various teams, including Packers, Labels, Kitchen, and Porters. This dynamic role involves a mix of manual labor and administrative tasks, ranging from packing and cooking to facility cleaning and label creation. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment that requires versatility and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with packing, loading, and unloading food items, ensuring proper handling and organization.
• Support the kitchen team with food preparation, cooking techniques, and maintaining food safety standards.
• Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks, including dishwashing, deep cleaning, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, office, and bathrooms.
• Create and manage meal labels, ensuring accuracy and alignment with production needs.
• Collaborate with delivery operations, helping to organize and prepare items for transport.
• Perform culinary administrative tasks using Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and other software.
• Ensure compliance with NY Department of Health protocols for food safety and sanitation.
• Adapt to various tasks based on business needs, maintaining a flexible and team-oriented approach.
• Exhibit a sense of urgency and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Support additional projects and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in operations, kitchen support, or logistics is preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and other productivity tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
• Dependable, adaptable, and able to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work standing or walking for extended periods.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and working at a fast pace.
• Sit for long periods when performing administrative tasks.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
