Job Description - Operations Support Specialist, Senior

Overview

Bowhead seeks aSenior Operations Support Specialistto support the Project Director Sensors-Aerial Intelligence (PD SAI) Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Responsibilities

• Provides subject matter expertise in Operations Support to an entire organization or major components of an organization

• Works various special programs and projects

• Attends meetings at Command level and higher headquarters when required

• Prepares decision papers, documents, and reports

• Possesses expert knowledge of organizational planning, risk management, and program analysis

• Performs segments of broad and complex studies and analyses across organizational and functional lines on a variety of projects, issues and problem cases

• Provides results to senior technical personnel on a variety of tasks, relevant to PM plans and objectives

• Leads efforts to defines and document processes into standard operating procedures or other written procedures for complex and large scope projects

• Assures integrated and coordinated short-term, mid-term, and long-range planning on projects and tasks

• Initiates, develops, revises, recommends, and implements policies, plans, procedures, and directives

• Identifies existing or potential problem areas within the area of operations and recommends corrective action

• Advises leadership pertaining to assigned program, briefing preparation, and objectives

• Collaborates internally and externally and provides advice and support to the organization leadership, staff, and program managers on any assigned programs/projects for stakeholder engagements, briefings, reports, etc.

• Accomplishes detailed planning for complex management projects, issues, and initiatives

• Provides support for risk analysis and tracking of cost, schedule, performance of projects/programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Business or related field

• A minimum of five (5) years related experience

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently have a Top Secret clearance. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
