Job Description - Operations Support Specialist - Specialty Pharmacy

What we are looking for


Optime Care seeks an Operations IT Support Specialist to assist the Director of Operations and care teams by developing, maintaining, and analyzing operational and client-facing reports.


This role will assist with developing new reports, conducting trend analysis, and preparing data for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). The specialist will ensure data accuracy, identify performance trends, highlight areas for improvement, and provide insights that help optimize program effectiveness. The Operations IT Support Specialist will collaborate across operations, client services, and leadership to ensure data-informed decision-making aligned with Optime’s core values. They will review and triage any operations-related help desk tickets and respond with solutions. They will also review the fax queue daily to watch for any trends of transmission failures.


This role is based at Optime Care’s headquarters in Earth City, MO, and will be required to be in the office four days a week.


What the position will be doing



  • Actively participate in data compilation, cleaning, and validation.

  • Review daily dashboards for accuracy and work with Data Analytics team to support any revisions or change requests.

  • Respond to ad hoc report requests from leadership, care teams, or client services.

  • Prepare data sets, visualizations, and summaries for QBRs and client presentations.

  • Assist in reviewing reporting frameworks to support operational efficiency and program performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot discrepancies and improve data quality.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting platforms.

  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for QBRs.

  • Support forecasting, KPI tracking, and performance measurement.

  • Track and monitor operational metrics to identify performance trends.

  • Provide recommendations based on data analysis to help teams meet or exceed KPIs.

  • Support leadership with the development and refinement of outcome-based metrics.

  • Review all incoming tickets flagged as operations requests.

  • Research and respond to tickets promptly with solutions.

  • Ensure all work reflects Optime’s values of excellence, integrity, and patient-centered care.

  • Promote a data-informed culture that supports operational transparency and continuous improvement.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remain flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.


Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities



  • A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Operations, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Power BI, or similar tools.

  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and judgment skills

  • Ability to work independently, with limited supervision

  • Ability to communicate with all organizational levels

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities

  • Ability to be highly transparent, ethical, and driven

  • Relentless attention to detail and the ability to be a creative self-starter and team player

  • Ability to ensure tasks are appropriately delegated and completed to standards by monitoring performance and holding staff accountable

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
