Job Description - Operations Tech I

Compensation: $35 / Hr.
Job Title: Operations Tech I – Data Entry
Location: Midland, TX
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

Position Overview
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Operations Tech I – Data Entry professional to support day-to-day operations across drilling, production, maintenance, and flowback teams. This position plays a critical role in accurate entry and management of operational data in multiple internal systems, providing vital support to supervisors, engineers, and field teams.
The ideal candidate will have prior oil and gas database experience and be comfortable working across multiple platforms and software systems to ensure real-time data integrity and reporting accuracy.

What You Will Do

Perform data entry across a wide range of systems including:
SharePoint, Excel, Siteview, Wellview, TOW, Geoforce, eVIN, XSPOC, Ops Info, Vworks, Databasin, Oracle, PLEX, PASS, Power BI, HSE applications, and others
Track and monitor data related to production, compression, workovers, completions, flowbacks, and maintenance activities
Submit partner reports as needed and assist with invoice/field ticket coding and stamping
Order and coordinate new lease/well signs and maintain well file documentation
Create basic PowerPoint presentations for operational or safety meetings
Provide administrative support by organizing and taking notes during workgroups, subcommittees, and focus group meetings
Assist with training and technical support for internal systems as needed
Support field supervisors and managers with ad-hoc data and operational projects
Provide backup coverage for other Operations Technicians when required

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
Associate degree preferred; a bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of relevant experience
Prior experience working in the oil and gas industry with a focus on data entry or operations support
Familiarity with operational systems such as Wellview, Siteview, TOW, Oracle, and Databasin
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and systems in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience using Spotfire, Power BI, or other data analytics tools
Prior experience working with field personnel, engineers, or production teams
Comfortable managing digital and physical records
