Full Time Opportunity in the Cleveland area with a Best Practice Service Provider
Reporting to the Manager of Operations and Administration, the Operations Analyst – Platform Management provides ongoing monitoring of all global technology systems. The role is also responsible for coordination and documentation of all major changes scheduled during the assigned shift, and serves as the single point of contact for problem resolution processes.
Will provide the initial diagnosis of the issue, determine appropriate internal and external resources to assist in resolution, coordinate communication amongst problem resolution team, manage service provider problem escalation processes, identify problem impact and communicate to necessary parties, provide regular updates and identify alternative solutions during pro-longed outages.

Technical Experience/Skills Required:
- 3-5 years -VMWare implementation and support experience.
- 5-7+ years experience in Microsoft Windows server administration (building, operation, maintenance, implementation, testing, and support of Windows 2003, Windows 2008 R2 servers and Active Directory)
- 3-5 years experience monitoring server system performance, identifying and improving performance bottlenecks, and correctly sizing hardware for application performance requirements.
- Building and configuration of HP Proliant, Cisco UCS, or Dell Poweredge server hardware.
- Proven System Automation through scripting and/or compiled application development (VB.Net, C# or Powershell)
Non-Technical Skills Required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective writing skills (i.e. capable of writing proposals, papers, documentation). Experience working with vendors, making presentations to client audiences or professional peers, and working closely with senior level management.
- Strong problem solving capabilities, ability to effectively utilize available resources. Incorporates best practices (i.e. automation of manual procedures) in problem resolutions.
-Project management skills including the facilitation of meetings, estimating project size, scope and efforts, evaluating project progress, managing risk, defining and managing issues, publishing project communications.
Education Required:
Bachelors Degree with 3+ years of experience in related fields or 7+ years of equivalent experience.
Current Microsoft Certification, MCSE Windows 2003 or Windows 2008 a plus.
Additional education/certification with (Veritas, EMC, SAN technologies, Visual Studio, Oracle)
