Operator | 2nd Shift

Pay:

Our compensation structure is based on a pay-for-performance. Pay-for-performance means your pay is determined by how much of a product you produce or contribute to making.

Average pay is $50 per hour plus our comprehensive benefits package. 

Shift:

Hours are 3pm - 11pm and can vary based on staffing and business needs including overtime, holidays, and weekends.

Basic Job Functions:

The Forming Operator is responsible for operating boltmakers to manufacture quality bolts and parts, performs set ups, change-overs, and completing machine adjustments using pneumatic tools and jib cranes. Our Operator interprets product prints and completes part inspections to ensure quality. Additional job duties will include any other tasks assigned by the department supervisor.  

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license for operating industrial mobile equipment


• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous forklift & crane operating experience


• Familiarity with forming equipment and the forming process
