Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a OpEx Continuous Improvement Technician 1st Shift. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $27.90 per hour. In this role you will make process improvements through attending Tier Meetings and collecting and analyzing 5S, productivity, and other manufacturing data to improve safety, productivity 5S, and cost. You will act as an ambassador for ECIS and bridge the gap between Operations and OpEx as well as lead continuous improvement projects. \n \n\n\nEssential Functions: \nBased on issues identified at Tier meetings, lead problem solving efforts to address root cause, site 5-Why expert. \nProvides a wide variety of administrative and staff support services. Will assist in the preparation of the following, but not limited to: \nCurrent/Future Value Steam Map creation. \nStandard work/Time Studies line balancing, work instructions. \nManage site 5S program \u2013 audit scores by area, actions, monitor gap closure, operator inclusion \u2013 advantage of coming from the shop floor.\n\nLead Level 1/Level 2 kaizen events based on Tier issues, CI for Everyone, 5S actions, etc. \nUsing RIE checklist, assist site CI leader in preparing for Level 3 RIE.\n\nOver time gain enough understanding to possibly lead a weeklong RIE. \nMonitor \u201cCI for Everyone\u201d program -screen ideas, integrate into Level 1# and 2 events, feedback to originator if ideas cannot be implemented. \nBasic understanding of how CIF tools work and why they are important \u2013 SW, Visual Controls, Daily Accountability \u2013 site advocate with hourly work force. \n \n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications: \n\u2022 Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future. \n\u2022 No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. \n\u2022 High School Diploma or GED required. \n\u2022 Participated in at least 1 RIE or Kaizen event or continuous improvement project. \n\u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint \u0026 Outlook), SAP, and Q-Pulse\n\n \nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Associate\u2019s or bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited institution. \n\u2022 Minimum of 1 years\u2019 experience at one of Eaton\u2019s facilities on Lincoln Avenue or Badger Drive.\n\nContinuous Improvement Framework. \nAssist with action items assigned to the OpEx Function. \nAssist in facilitating ECIS training to plant personnel. \nThe implementation of visual controls throughout the facility such as but not limited to \nFloor marking. \nLabeling. \nColor coding. \nShadow boards. \nInformation boards. \nAssist with defining and requesting tooling and equipment as needed. \nWork with Maintenance and issue Work Orders as needed. \nOwn process of VOP\u2019s (review and update). \nSupport Industry 4.0.\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
