Ophthalmic Tech

Description

• Ask and record patients symptoms and rely information to doctor 
• Perform preliminary exams and tests on patients eyes 
• Clean and maintain ophthalmic equipment 
• Support the ophthalmologist during eye surgeries and procedures 
• Administer medication and topical treatments to patients eyes 
• Instructing patients on care and usage of corrective lenses 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent 
• Completion of an accredited training program for Ophthalmic Tech Preferred
• Certified Ophthalmic Tech or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Preferred
• BLS Certification Required 
• At least 1 year experience as an ophthalmic technician preferred
