Requirements

Years of Experience: 2 year(s)

Charting System: Required, Epic

Certifications: BLS, COT*

Required:

• BLS from AHA or ARC

• Ophthalmic Assistant Certificate

• Experience with vision insurance and benefit plans

• 6+ months of experience working in a vision center setting

Preferred:

• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)

• VF, IOL, OCT, and Optos experience

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 17:30)

Skills:

Arrange transportation for patients*

Ordering/Dispensing Glasses and Contact Lenses*

Basic Surgical Procedures*Chalazation surgery*

Removal of Skin Tags*

Remove non-imbedded foreign particle with cotton swab*

Fundus Photography*

Vital Signs - Blood Pressure, Respirations, Temperature, Pulse*
