Ophthalmic Technician - Carson City

Nevada Retina Associates is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic full-time Ophthalmic Technician. We are willing to train the right person with the right attitude who enjoys being part of a fun, team-oriented practice and who desires to be part of a dynamic patient care team. You will be given the opportunity to gain great working knowledge of eye anatomy, retina diseases, symptoms and other ocular issues. We are looking for hard working individuals who are dependable, punctual, and have excellent customer service and patient care skills to work in Carson City office with occasional travel to our Reno office.

Primary duties include:

• Performing patient work-ups, obtaining patient medical histories and performing specialized diagnostic testing


• Professionally assist physicians with patient care, patient education, and ensure efficiency of clinic flow


• Set up and stock exam rooms for daily use


• Conduct patient communication/return calls
  

Qualifications/Experience:

• Good work history


• Ability to be curious and learn


• Clinical experience in a medical practice


• COA, COT, or COMT certifications preferred but not required


• Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive, and readily embraces a fast-paced environment with constant change


• Excellent communication skills


• Ability to multi-task


• Prioritize and manage time efficiently


• Organized and detail oriented


• Strong computer skills, written, and verbal skills
  


• Spanish speaker a plus

We offer a competitive hourly wage and a generous benefits package which includes: Medical and Dental insurance- 3 weeks paid PTO per year· 9 paid holidays· 401k retirement program· and a performance based bonus plan.

Starting pay: $19-$24 per hour depending on experience. More experienced technicians also encouraged to apply for competitive pay.
