Job Description - Opportunity Broker

Description

As a Housing Opportunity Broker, you will work within targeted Pittsburgh communities to assist unemployed and underemployed individuals in overcoming barriers to economic stability. You will support the development, launch, and integration of a program that bridges the gap between job seekers and essential resources such as education, training, and employment opportunities. In this role, you will build and maintain strong community networks, fostering relationships with social service providers, educators, employers, and local influencers. You will collaborate with partner organizations to identify and promote job opportunities and skill development resources while guiding individuals through a structured path toward employment by addressing barriers, enhancing job readiness, and connecting them with relevant training and support services. Additionally, you will track and monitor participants’ progress, ensuring they have the necessary tools for long-term success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or comparable experience) required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in social services, case management, or coaching or related experience required.

 Core Skills and Qualities: 

  •  Case Management & Participant Tracking – Experience in assessing individual needs, developing action plans, and monitoring progress toward employment and self-sufficiency. 
  •  Data Collection & Reporting – Ability to track participant progress, measure program impact, and generate reports to support continuous improvement.
