Position Overview and Responsibilities:
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection, Clean Boating Programs is seeking a Fiscal Assistant to support the financial administration and the compliance of the Clean Boating Program.
This position works closely with program and fiscal staff to ensure grant funds are properly coded, tracked, and expended in accordance with state, federal requirements and grant compliance guidelines. The position plays an important role in supporting grant payment processing, financial reconciliation, and program budget monitoring associated with Clean Vessel Act pumpout and dump station projects throughout Florida.
Primary responsibilities include assigning budget codes, reviewing and approving grantee reimbursement requests, routing and tracking grant agreements and associated federal funding sources, data entry and reconciling expenditures within the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR). The position will coordinate with Department budget staff and assist with monitoring program spending authority, financial reporting, and grant closeout activities.
This position is located within the Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection, Clean Boating Programs, and supports the financial administration of the Clean Vessel Act Grant Program.

Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) certification in accordance with Chapter 287.057, Florida Statutes, is required or must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
