Job Description - Optical Lab Technician

Primary Duties:

Cut, grind, edge, and finish lenses for glasses according to prescriptions

Maintain lab equipment

Work in a fast paced environment

Apply coatings such as UV protection

Assemble eyeglasses, inserting lenses into frames and adjusting for proper fit

Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and defects before delivering to patients

Skills Required

Attention to detail and precision.

Ability to work with specialized tools and machines (will train).

Good hand–eye coordination.

Knowledge of lens materials, coatings, and frame types (will train).

Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting defects or prescription issues (will train).
