Optician
A full-time Optician is needed for our upscale, high-volume private optometry practice, EYE PEOPLE Optometry. We carry designer brands such as CHANEL, Gucci, Tom Ford, YSL, Burberry, Versace, Tiffany, etc.
- Full availability is required including WEEKENDS
- Available for Closing Shifts are required: 12:30pm-9pm
- Available Shifts: 10am-6:30pm, 10:30am-7pm, 11am-7:30pm, 12:30pm-9pm, etc.
We are the first office in LA to offer new AI-powered VR Progressives and were recently featured on the show, "Destination LA" airing on CBS.
Excellent customer service or retail experience is preferred with prior history of Optician experience.
Duties include recommending various lens styles (progressives, bifocals, anti-fatigue lenses, etc.) and add-ons (anti-reflective coating, transitions, etc.), measuring seg heights and pupillary distances, dispensing glasses, frame styling, checking out patients and pulling insurance authorizations, answering phones, scheduling appointments, pre-testing patients, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience as an Optician
- Knowledge of current optical theory, frames, lens materials, lens types and coatings
- Ability to recommend proper lens type and fit for patient
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Previous customer service or retail experience
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Optician experience in a retail optical
- Excellent customer service skills with strong communication skills
- Problem solving ability
- Familiarity with Windows computers and tablets
- Organization skills and ability to create an efficient systematic way of doing tasks
- Display professionalism, maturity, work ethic
