Optometric Scribe

VisionFirst is a local, employee-owned eye care provider with 18 locations in Kentucky and Indiana.  We are more than just an eye care provider; we are part of the community.  And we're looking for someone great to join the team.

What You'll Do

VisionFirst has an immediate opening for an Optometric Scribe to join our Salem, IN office. This is an excellent opportunity to join an employee-owned practice and help to provide the best level of care for our patients. Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Accurately document patient history, chief complaints, exam findings, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions in real time during exams


• Ensure data is entered efficiently and accurately in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system


• Assist with patient flow by preparing charts


• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations


• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, doctors, and other members of the team.

• Prior optometry or medical office experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person
