Position Overview:

The Optometrist will provide vision assessments, eyeglass services, and ocular health management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct vision exams and detect ocular diseases.
• Fit and adjust eyeglasses.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists for surgical cases.
• Provide two annual in-service trainings.

Qualifications:

• Education: Doctor of Optometry (O.D.)
• Licensure: Active NYS Optometry License
• Experience: Geriatric optometry (preferred)
• Technical Skills:
• Ocular disease detection
• Eyeglass fitting/adjustment
• Soft Skills: Adaptive communication, interdisciplinary collaboration
