Job Description - Optometry Practice - Patient Success Specialist


 Patient Success Specialist 


Job Summary: 


Elevate Eyecare is a network of optometrists focused on providing local eyecare elevated. We are seeking a Patient Success Specialist to help us sustain our “Patient First” culture and achieve our vision of delivering the ultimate patient experience at the best place to work. 


The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our patients are satisfied with our level of care, products, and services by providing exceptional support, answering inquiries, and resolving concerns. The role is ideal for someone who is passionate about nurturing patient relationships and embraces challenges as opportunities. 


Job Duties and Expected Performances: 


- Establish and maintain strong relationships with patients through regular communication via phone, email, chat or social media to ensure patient satisfaction and first connection resolution 


- Deliver outstanding patient support, including scheduling appointments, answering patient inquires, providing solutions to problems, and addressing issues in a timely manner 


- Update, enter, verify, and authorize patient eye and/or medical insurance benefits at the time of scheduling appointments 


- Pay great attention to detail when reviewing patient accounts and answering billing questions 


- Communicate and collaborate with other teams within the organization to resolve patient concerns efficiently 


- Continuously track and adhere to key performance indicators to ensure effective and efficient workflow/performance 


- Maintain accurate records of interactions with patients using our EHR and Acuity logic system 


- Identify and escalate calls requiring further attention and follow-up with patients until resolved 


- Maintain compliance with the organization’s policies, procedures and guidelines to include the confidentiality policy in accordance to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) 


- Perform duties and assume various responsibilities as assigned by management 



Requirements: 


- 2-3 years of experience in customer success or a related field 


- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing 


- Ability to remain organized while multitasking, prioritizing, and problem solving 


- Familiarity with Vision/Medical terminology and/or EHR system preferred 


- Ability to work on a team, as well as autonomously 


- High level of professionalism, patience and dedication to providing patient satisfaction 


- Highspeed internet that meets the requirements set forth in our network readiness test
