Oracle Database Performance Tuning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Performance Tuning Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tuning and optimizing Oracle databases, particularly those hosted on Exadata and Exadata Cloud Service in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role requires a deep understanding of database performance metrics, optimization techniques, and the ability to implement best practices to ensure optimal database performance and reliability.

• Analyze and optimize the performance of Oracle databases hosted on Exadata and Exadata Cloud Service in OCI.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve database efficiency and speed.
• Conduct regular performance tuning and maintenance activities, including indexing, query optimization, and resource management.
• Monitor database performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager and other monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
• Develop and maintain performance tuning documentation and best practices.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database performance issues.
• Stay current with Oracle database technologies and advancements, particularly related to Exadata and OCI.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle database administration and performance tuning.
• Extensive experience with Oracle Exadata and Exadata Cloud Service in OCI.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
• Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture, including RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and other performance monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of database indexing, partitioning, and query optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based database solutions and migrations.
• Familiarity with other Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services.
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting).?
