Key Responsibilities

As a Surgical Assistant, you’ll be an integral part of each patient’s surgical journey:

• Support consultations, surgical treatments, and pre-operative preparations.
• Capture diagnostic images and ensure thorough instrument sterilization.
• Prepare surgical operatories for optimal care delivery.
• Monitor patient vital signs, deliver expert chairside assistance, and meticulously document procedures and patient interactions.
• Coordinate with referring physicians to maximize surgical safety and patient outcomes.
• Educate patients on post-operative care, reinforce follow-up, and ensure a smooth recovery.
• Maintain CPR certification and manage emergency readiness, including supplies.
• Ensure a safe, hygienic, and organized surgical environment.
• Oversee and replenish surgical supplies inventory.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of chairside assisting (oral surgery or periodontics experience preferred)
• Dental experience and CPR/BLS certification required
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn and grow

Schedule

• Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday—6:45 AM to 5:00 PM
• Never Work Wednesdays: Consistent mid-week day off every week
