Oral Surgical Assistant

Position Summary: NAPA Oral Surgery & Dental Implants is a well-established, busy specialty practice seeking a highly motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team. The ideal candidate is a team player who wants a great opportunity and long-term employment. You'll be professional, able to multitask, use your time efficiently, and stay one step ahead by anticipating the doctor's needs. We are committed to excellent patient care and want someone who shares that goal. We're happy to train the right candidate in oral surgery procedures. 

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Current RDA license
• Valid California X-ray license
• Current BLS certification
• Takes pride in attention to detail
• Punctual and reliable on a daily basis
• Friendly and outgoing personality, with both patients and fellow staff
• Ability to commute and work in both Napa and Sonoma locations
• Minimum of 1 year dental assisting experience

Qualifications not necessary but a plus:

• Previous oral surgery experience
• OMSA certificate
• Dental Anesthesia Assistant Permit (through Dental Board of CA)
• Emergency procedures - identification and treatment
• Familiar with dental/oral surgery software - DSN preferred
• Computer savvy, able to type 35 wpm
• Ability to read, speak, and write Spanish fluently and clearly

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Assisting in surgical procedures, both local and IV sedation
• Sterilization and tray set-ups
• Taking and monitoring vital signs/ patient recovery
• Knowledge of medical emergency protocol
• Assisting in consultations and post-ops
• Lab/ 3D printing work
• Organizing and restocking supplies and rooms as needed
• Other duties as needed shared amongst the assistants

We are looking for someone who can work 40 hours per week, but may need to work overtime occasionally due to the nature of our business. This could be a great opportunity for a dedicated, motivated and ambitious individual who is eager to learn and is a self-starter.
