Order Picker / Forklift Operator - Hiring Urgently

With direction from Warehouse Supervisor, this position is responsible for receiving, shipping, and counting inventory.

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Verify and receive incoming shipments, including PO receipts, transfers, and returns.
• Notate any damages or shortages upon receipt.
• Prepare outbound shipments, including picking, packing, palletizing, wrapping, and labeling. Ensure that shipment is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.
• Process any shipments requiring special preparations, including special customer labeling and customized pallets, and export orders.
• Perform regular cycle counts; identify any missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.
• Operate gas powered or electric forklifts in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Perform daily forklift checks and perform minor maintenance and adjustments.
• Ensure that the warehouse is clean and organized and that all safety issues are reported.
• Remain vigilant and cognizant of all potential theft or loss situations; ensure that the warehouse is secure when unattended.
• Performs other job functions as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience working in a warehouse.
• Knowledge of operating a forklift (forklift certified is preferred)
• Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and lift loads up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and safely.

• Excellent attention to detail
