Rangewood Orthodontics is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic team in Colorado Springs. You’ll work closely with our Practice Manager, Clinic Coordinator, and Orthodontist to deliver an exceptional patient experience and keep our clinic running smoothly.

No orthodontic experience? No problem! We're willing to provide on-the-job training for the right candidate who brings a strong work ethic and a passion for helping others. Prior customer service experience is highly preferred, as we’re looking for someone who truly enjoys engaging with patients and families in a professional, caring manner.

What You’ll Do:

• Greet and seat patients promptly to maintain efficient clinic flow
   
• Assist with orthodontic procedures including placing separators, elastic chains, wires, bonding braces, and Invisalign attachments (training provided)
   
• Monitor and educate patients on oral hygiene and proper brushing techniques
   
• Take digital X-rays, CBCT scans, iTero scans, and impressions (training provided)
   
• Maintain accurate chart notes and help schedule follow-up appointments
   
• Anticipate the needs of the Orthodontist during procedures
   
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized operatory
   
• Debrief patients and parents, answering treatment-related questions
   
• Perform backup sterilization and assist with daily/monthly clinic tasks
   
• Participate in daily huddles, staff meetings, and contribute positively to our team culture
   
• Ensure equipment is well-maintained and report issues as needed
   
• Represent the practice with a positive, professional attitude both in and outside the office

Requirements

• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience is required (orthodontics preferred)
• be self-motivated, organized, and have a positive attitude
• possess great understanding of dental terminology
• be experienced in delivering high-level customer service
• Committed to the position arriving on time daily and staying late as needed.
