Timberline Smiles is looking for a dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our practice and support the smooth operation of our clinic alongside our Practice Manager and Clinic Coordinator.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Ensure smooth patient flow by seating patients promptly and beginning procedures.
   
• Place separators, elastic chains, and wires.
   
• Prepare teeth for bonding braces and Invisalign attachments.
   
• Check for loose brackets/bonds and scale cement as needed.
   
• Monitor oral hygiene and educate patients on proper brushing techniques.
   
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, fully stocked operatory.
   
• Take X-rays, CBCTs, iTero scans, and impressions.
   
• Accurately chart patient notes and schedule next appointments.
   
• Debrief patients and parents, answer treatment questions with clarity.
   
• Assist the Orthodontist during procedures and anticipate their needs.
   
• Clean chairs and rotate efficiently through the clinic with urgency.
   
• Support sterilization tasks as a backup when needed.
   
• Complete daily/monthly side tasks assigned by the Clinic Coordinator.
   
• Attend daily huddles and staff meetings.
   
• Uphold all clinic policies and represent Timberline Smiles positively.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience is required (orthodontics preferred)
• be self-motivated, organized, and have a positive attitude
• possess great understanding of dental terminology
• have excellent communication and written skills
• be experienced in delivering high-level customer service
