Job Description - Orthodontic Dental Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will support orthodontic procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.

Job Requirements:

1- Massachusetts Dental Assisting license.
2- Radiology Certification.

Responsibilities

Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including the placement and adjustment of braces and other orthodontic appliances.

Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.

Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.

Educate patients and their families about oral hygiene, care instructions, and the importance of following treatment plans.

Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.

Skills

Experience in Orthodontic assisting is highly desirable. Willing to train the right person.

Familiarity with dental systems, such as Dolphin management is preferred.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing dental records.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and team members.

A compassionate approach towards working with children in a dental clinic setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 24 – 35 per week
