What You'll Do
- Assist the orthodontist during a variety of clinical procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient appointments.
- Place and remove archwires, ligatures, brackets, and orthodontic appliances as permitted by state regulations.
- Take digital radiographs, photographs, impressions, and digital scans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, elastic wear, aligner care, and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain organized treatment areas.
- Help create a positive, welcoming experience for every patient and family.
- Collaborate with doctors and teammates to keep the schedule running efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous orthodontic assisting experience preferred.
- Dental assisting experience with an interest in orthodontics will also be considered.
- Current X-Ray Certification (where required).
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and materials.
- Experience with digital scanning (iTero or similar) is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Positive attitude with a team-first mentality.
- Reliable, professional, and eager to learn.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday (schedule varies by location)
- Some Saturdays may be required depending on the practice.
