Orthodontist - Alabama

What You'll Do

• Assist the orthodontist during a variety of clinical procedures.


• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient appointments.


• Place and remove archwires, ligatures, brackets, and orthodontic appliances as permitted by state regulations.


• Take digital radiographs, photographs, impressions, and digital scans.


• Educate patients on oral hygiene, elastic wear, aligner care, and post-treatment instructions.


• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.


• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.


• Sterilize instruments and maintain organized treatment areas.


• Help create a positive, welcoming experience for every patient and family.


• Collaborate with doctors and teammates to keep the schedule running efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous orthodontic assisting experience preferred.


• Dental assisting experience with an interest in orthodontics will also be considered.


• Current X-Ray Certification (where required).


• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and materials.


• Experience with digital scanning (iTero or similar) is a plus.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.


• Positive attitude with a team-first mentality.


• Reliable, professional, and eager to learn.

Schedule

• Full-time


• Monday–Friday (schedule varies by location)


• Some Saturdays may be required depending on the practice.
