Ready to join? We are looking for an Orthopedic DME Coordinator to be based at the outpatient clinic located in Oak Brook, IL. As an Orthopedic DME Coordinator, you will work directly with orthopedic physicians, clinical teams, and patients throughout the episode of care. You'll be trained to measure, fit, and educate patients on orthopedic braces and devices while coordinating DME needs across both surgical and non-surgical care. This role offers an opportunity to apply your existing musculoskeletal and patient-care knowledge while developing specialized expertise within a comprehensive orthopedic DME program. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Measure, fit, and adjust off-the-shelf orthopedic braces and other DME. 


• Educate patients on the proper use, application, and care of orthopedic braces and devices. 


• Coordinate DME needs for surgical and non-surgical patients throughout their episode of care. 


• Work directly with orthopedic physicians and clinical teams to support patient care. 


• Serve as a point of contact for patients regarding DME, bracing, and product-related questions. 


• Review patient insurance benefits and assist with pre-certification and authorization requirements for applicable DME. 


• Maintain DME inventory and coordinate product ordering to ensure appropriate availability. 


• Communicate patient questions or concerns regarding orthopedic products with physicians and clinical staff. 


• Work with leading orthopedic DME manufacturers and product representatives on existing and emerging technologies. 


• Participate in departmental initiatives, process improvements, and special projects. 


• Support team operations as patient volume and departmental needs require. 

Who We're Looking For 

We are open to candidates from several clinical and musculoskeletal backgrounds who demonstrate strong communication skills, initiative, and an interest in building expertise within orthopedic DME. 

Qualified candidates may include: 

• Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC) 


• Certified Orthotic Fitters (COF) 


• Experienced Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA), particularly those with orthopedic or musculoskeletal experience 


• Kinesiology or Exercise Science graduates with a strong academic foundation, interpersonal skills, and interest in orthopedic patient care 


• Candidates with other relevant orthopedic, sports medicine, rehabilitation, or clinical experience may also be considered 

Successful candidates will demonstrate: 

• Strong understanding of anatomy and musculoskeletal principles 


• Ability and willingness to learn orthopedic bracing and DME 


• Strong patient communication and education skills 


• Comfort working directly with physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams 


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 


• Ability to balance patient care with operational responsibilities 


• Initiative, professionalism, and a desire to develop within the orthopedic field

Pay Range: $50k- $65k annualized. Compensation at MOR is determined by many factors, which may include but are not limited to, job-related skills and level of experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market data and internal equity. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
