Professional Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Extremity Surgeon to join our team. This role specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries, specifically those affecting the extremities, including the shoulder, hip, and knee. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in both non-surgical and surgical interventions, including minimally invasive techniques, regenerative medicine, and complex orthopedic procedures.

This position provides an opportunity to assist patients in achieving their optimal function and performance through tailored, individualized care. advanced surgical solutions, while facilitating comprehensive rehabilitation programs. The Orthopedic Extremity Surgeon will work in collaboration with other orthopedic surgeons, extremity surgeons, physiatrists, interventional spine physicians, neurologists, physician assistant, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, chiropractors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions affecting the upper and lower extremities including but not limited to casting, shoulder arthroscopy for complex shoulder injuries, superior capsular repair of shoulder, labral repair, rotator cuff repair, capsulorrhaphy, bankart repair, ACL/PCL reconstruction, arthroscopic meniscectomy, osteochondral defect repair of the knee.
• Specialize in minimally invasive surgical techniques for joint repair, tendon and ligament reconstruction, and fracture management.
• Perform advanced surgical procedures, including arthroscopy, joint preservation, reconstructive surgeries, total joint replacements, and arthroplasty for degenerative joint diseases of the shoulder, knee, and hip.
• Utilize regenerative medicine treatments such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), stem cell therapy, and other cutting-edge therapies to accelerate recovery and enhance tissue healing.
• Provide specialized care, not limited to complex fracture management and corrective surgeries from recent injuries.
• Work closely with the medical team to develop personalized care plans that ensure comprehensive care, and optimal recovery. 

Qualifications:

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Residency in Orthopedic Surgery with a focus on extremity surgery.
• Fellowship in Sports Medicine or Orthopedic Extremity Surgery.

Certifications:

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
• Certification in Ultrasound-Guided Injections (if applicable).

Clinical Experience:

The ideal candidate will have experience in collaborative orthopedic surgery practice, specializing in musculoskeletal injuries and extremity-related conditions. The surgeon will primarily provide exceptional patient care at our Buckhead Surgical Center, with occasional office days at nearby practices. The incumbent will work with patients of all ages and activity levels seeking to regain optimal function.

Qualifications:

Education:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).

Residency in Orthopedic Surgery with a focus on extremity surgery.

Fellowship in Sports Medicine or Orthopedic Extremity Surgery.

Certifications:

Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.

Certification in Ultrasound-Guided Injections (if applicable).
