REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Required
- Arthroscopy
- Total Joint replacement (Hip, knee, Other (excludes hip and knee))
- Joint revision or repair (Shoulder, Hip, Knee, Other (excludes shoulder, hip, and knee))
- Hand (Tendon release/repair, Peripheral nerve surgery)
- W/ Instrumentation (Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar)
- W/O Instrumentation (Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar)
- Percutaneous disc surgery

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: BC required
Licenses: Licensed in NC
DEA: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, ABLS
Other Qualifications: Must be vaccinated. Must be credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare and enrolled with PECOS.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour call coverage for general orthopedic surgery, including emergency department coverage.
Manage consults (0-3 per day) and provide medical management for orthopedic patients.
Perform ED visits for closed reductions, admissions, and surgical procedures (wrist, ankle, and hip fractures; I&D).
Stabilize and transfer long bone trauma as necessary.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the MediTech EMR system.
