Position Overview

As an Outbound Shipping Specialist at Gifthealth, you will be responsible for preparing and executing the accurate and timely shipment of pharmacy orders and supplies. This role ensures patients receive their medications safely and on time by managing order staging, packaging, labeling, and courier coordination. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the loading and staging areas.  You will need to make sure that safety is a top priority for all in the loading and staging areas as well.You’ll play a key part in maintaining product integrity and a seamless customer experience while supporting overall warehouse efficiency.

How You’ll Help Us Improve Healthcare

• Accurately inspect, prepare, and load prescription orders and products for outbound shipment
  


• Ensure packaging complies with pharmacy standards, including cold chain requirements (ice packs, insulation, etc.)
  


• Monitor and manage daily shipping cutoffs to meet same-day fulfillment timelines
  


• Work closely with the pharmacy and fulfillment teams to prioritize urgent orders and ensure timely delivery
  


• Track outbound shipments and troubleshoot delivery exceptions or delays through regular communication with the internal team as well as transportation vendors.
  


• Maintain shipping supply inventory and notify warehouse leadership when restocks are needed
  


• Follow safety procedures and ensure all packages are prepared in compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
  


• Support ongoing cleanliness, organization, safety,and operational excellence in the warehouse
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and move products up to 50 lbs
  


• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  


• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels
  


• Capable of operating equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks (training provided)
  


• Basic computer skills and ability to complete digital documentation and training
  


• Must follow verbal and written instructions in English
  
  

A Few Things About You

• High school diploma or equivalent required
  


• 1+ years of warehouse, shipping, or logistics experience; pharmacy or healthcare shipping preferred
  


• Strong attention to detail to ensure every order is complete and correct
  


• Familiarity with outbound logistics, label printing, and common shipping platforms (UPS/FedEx)
  


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with daily shipping targets
  


• Prior forklift certification is a plus.


• Excellent time management and communication skills
  


• Knowledge of shipping requirements for temperature-sensitive products is a plus
  


• Willingness to cross-train and support other areas of the warehouse as needed
