Title: Outdoor Girl Experience Program Manager

Job Type: Full Time JOB OVERVIEWThe Outdoor Experience Program Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of girl camp and in-person program opportunities for USA Girl Scouts Overseas (USAGSO). This role ensures that high-quality outdoor, adventure, and cultural experiences are delivered to girls across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The manager will work closely with the Virtual Program and Adult Development Manager to create cohesive, impactful programming, and will gather both quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate program effectiveness and identify proven practices for continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Education, Recreation, Non-Profit Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing outdoor programs or similar roles, ideally in an international or multicultural context.
• Experience in designing outdoor, adventure, and cultural programs.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of safety standards, risk management, and outdoor industry standards for outdoor and adventure activities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze program data and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience with volunteer management and working with diverse teams.
• Fluency in English required; additional language skills a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with Girl Scouts or other youth development programs.
• Experience working in international settings, with knowledge of specific regions such as Asia, Europe, or the Americas.
• Wilderness First Aid or Wilderness First Responder Certification, or other outdoor safety or program certifications
• Knowledge of Grant funding process
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Plan, coordinate, and manage outdoor, adventure, and cultural experiences, including girl camps and in-person program opportunities for USAGSO youth members.
• Work with regional teams to ensure programs are culturally appropriate and accessible for girls in Asia, Europe, Middle East and the Americas.
• Collaborate with the Virtual Program and Adult Development Manager to align outdoor programming with virtual opportunities and adult volunteer development efforts
• Collect, analyze, and report quantitative and qualitative data to assess the success of outdoor programs and determine areas for improvement.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards for outdoor activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local partners, vendors, and organizations to support program logistics and sustainability.
• Support staff and volunteers by providing guidance and training on outdoor programming and safety.
• Manage the budget for outdoor programs and ensure resources are allocated efficiently.
• Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Associate to promote and recruit participants for camps and in-person programs through various communication channels.
• Collaborate with the Director of Overseas Operations and Mission Delivery to strategically design and develop outdoor, adventure, and cultural programs and provide regular reports on program outcomes and impact.
