Outpatient Clinical Superviosor

 TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

1.Treat all individuals with dignity and respect while maintaining agency standards of confidentiality, professionalism and objectivity. 

2. Provide supervision to the clinical staff in residential or outpatient Level I, Level II and Level III programming:

• a. Recognize and monitor standards of care for treatment of substance use, gambling and mental health patients.


• b. Evaluate staff performance including direct observation of clinical staff and provide reviews annually, as appropriate.


• c. Confer with clinical staff regarding patient progress and treatment strategy.


• d. Monitor documentation / file management.


• e. Review a sign assessments and treatment plans as required.

3. Monitor and fulfill agency service contracts.

4. Assume 24 hour on call duty once every staff rotation, if needed.

5. Assist with development of appropriate curriculum and therapy strategies as needed.

6. Carry a small caseload of patients, providing clinical services. (Optional)

7. Interview, hire, and train new employees.

8. Assist the program in developing policies and procedures relating to the assessment and treatment of behavioral health disorders and related problems.

9. Maintain all confidentiality requirements and regulations and interpret for staff.

10. Participate in CQI programming.

11. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the state and national reporting requirements, licensure standards, EHR reporting, grant reporting and CARF.

12. Responsible to model principles of Mission, Vision and Values to the agency.

13. Implement and monitor FIT and LEAN processes.

14. Manage clinician time clock for payroll.

15. All other duties as assigned by the Outpatient Clinical Director. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

1. Master’s in behavioral healthcare field and current full license in the state of Iowa as an LMHC, LMSW, LISW, LMFT or;
Bachelor’s in a human service field with experience in an outpatient clinical setting

2. Proven experience in supervising (required)

3. CADC or equivalent.

4. Training/Experience in the field of behavioral health disorders.

5. Understanding of the mission of Prairie Ridge and patients we work with.

6. Proficiency in oral and written communication skills, as well as record keeping.

7. Ability to work directly with patients and provide accurate verbal and written reports to clinical staff.
