Eastern Shawnee Staffing Services (ESSS), in partnership with Indian Health Service (IHS), is seeking an experienced Outpatient Pharmacist to support Tsaile Health Center in Tsaile, Arizona.
This contract opportunity allows you to use your pharmacy expertise to support medication safety, patient education, and quality healthcare services for the local Tribal community. You will work alongside a dedicated healthcare team in an outpatient setting while enjoying a predictable Monday–Friday schedule, no weekend or holiday requirements, and the professional autonomy that comes with serving an important healthcare mission.
Start Date: July/August 2026 (credentialing and federal clearance may take up to 90 days)
Schedule: Full-time | Day Shift
Hours: Typically 40 hours per week | Outpatient Only | Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Weekends/Holidays: No weekends and no holidays
Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Contract Length: Up to 1 year with extension options
Location: Tsaile, Arizona
Facility Information: Tsaile Health Center – Indian Health Service
The Outpatient Pharmacist will provide pharmaceutical services focused on medication safety, patient education, and collaborative outpatient care within the Tsaile Health Center. This role works closely with healthcare providers and clinical staff to ensure safe medication management and support positive patient outcomes within the Tribal healthcare setting.
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Candidates should be adaptable and willing to support evolving clinical needs within the healthcare facility.
Eastern Shawnee Staffing Services follows an Indian Preference Policy. Preference is given to qualified Native American candidates in accordance with applicable laws.
Legally enrolled Eastern Shawnee Tribal Members shall receive preference if the tribal member’s experience, qualifications, training, and all other criteria included in the job posting are equal. Tribal Members or Citizens of other Federally Recognized Tribes shall receive second preference following the same criteria, followed by all other applicants.
