Outpatient Physical Therapist - Per Diem

Description

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide hands-on patient care focused on recovery, mobility, and long-term wellness.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, and rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Preferred: Master’s or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• Preferred Experience:
  • 1+ year of professional physical therapy experience.
  • Experience with EMR systems.
  • Background in orthopedics, neurology, or vestibular rehabilitation.
• Skills: Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient-centered care abilities.
• Licensure: Active New York State Physical Therapist License or eligibility for a temporary permit.

• Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination required.
• Moderate to significant physical effort; potential exposure to typical clinical environment elements (e.g., odors, noise).

• $67.00 per hour flat rate
