Description

Summary of Performance Expectations.


Performs venous punctures to collect blood specimens for analysis.  Processes patient registration information for specimens from outpatients, home health agencies, and clinics.
Education and Credentials:






Required
High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy program or minimum of three months phlebotomy experience.

Preferred


Work Experience:

Required
No previous experience necessary if graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy program. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.

Clerical experience in a healthcare environment
